How was your social media and digital marketing apprenticeship?

The best part of the apprenticeship was the 5 day webinar we had creating our own website. This week really enhanced my knowledge on using a CMS and imaging software, and gave me the opportunity to explore WordPress. I now include my website address on my CV and have had more interviews since including this. Previous interviewers and my current colleagues have also commented on how great the website is. I am currently located in Amsterdam as a Global Marketing Assistant for a Digital Advertising Agency, where one of my main tasks now is to manage the CMS of the company website.

Before beginning my Baltic Training apprenticeship I was working within an office as part of the Marketing team, however I wanted to progress my Marketing career, and thought the best way to do this was to gain Digital Marketing qualifications. I had already completed one apprenticeship with another company and I thoroughly enjoyed working within the office whilst learning with my apprenticeship at the same time, so I thought the Level 3 Social Media and Digital Marketing apprenticeship would be great.

How was your Baltic experience?

I had a really good experience with the trainers from Baltic Training as they helped and advised me every step of the way. The advice I would give to younger people wanting to start their career is that an apprenticeship is definitely the way to go. It allows you to experience a full time job whilst learning on the go. Also, in most cases, there is a chance for progression to become a full time employee within the company.

My plan for the future is to carry on my learning at the next level and keep on progressing within my Marketing career.”
