About the Employer

DTP Group were established in 1987 and offer a range of IT services such as remote support, helpdesk support and client device support. They are a HP Platinum Partners and work closely with a range of unique HP products. DTP Group are now looking for a passionate individual to join their team of IT professionals.

Tasks to be trained in

  • Repairing and replacing components
  • Providing first line support
  • Providing support to Microsoft customers
  • Doing a range of system resets and troubleshooting
  • Creating secure servers for laptops, printers and a range of technical products

Training to be provided

Infrastructure Technician Level 3
Course Content:
The modules you will complete as part of this apprenticeship are:

  • Coding and Logic (Includes Exam)
  • Business Processes (Includes Exam)

Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA’s):

  • Networking Fundamentals (Includes Exam)
  • Mobility and Device Fundamentals (Includes Exam)
  • Cloud Fundamentals (Includes Exam)

Skills Required

  • Passion for IT
  • Hardware/software knowledge
  • Good communication skills
  • Comfortable with talking on the phone
  • Any Microsoft office experience would be advantageous

Salary, Hours, Benefits

  • £230.00 per week
  • Monday – Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm (37.5 hours per week)
  • 20 Holidays plus Bank Holidays
  • Company days out
  • Training and exposure to HP state of the art products

There are career progression opportunities available upon completion of the programme. You, along with your employer, may progress to a Level 4 programme, and take your training even further.

Location & Travel


DTP Group are based on the outskirts of the Leeds City Centre, there are many bus routes around the area and is only a 20 minute bus journey from the closest training station. With a variety of cafes, shops around the area and onsite facilities, there are plenty of options for lunch. Onsite parking makes it also easy for drivers to travel.
