About the Employer

SteamaCo were established in 2012 and since then their energy IoT platform has enabled reliable, cost-effective electricity in frontier markets. They are based in Manchester’s Science Park and have modern office across 2 floors in the enterprise building. The successful candidate will have their own desk space with new equipment to develop their skills and knowledge from successful industry professionals through their apprenticeship. If you are enthusiastic and willing to learn, this could be the role for you.

Tasks to be trained in

  • Initial point of contact for all support queries and issues.
  • Working with the support and operations team to help deliver and support via email, telephone and online help center
  • Running analysis from the help desk
  • Complete hardware, software and configuration updates
  • Provide technical support to customers
  • Manage and develop the company’s knowledge base across a suite of software and hardware products.

Training to be provided

Infrastructure Technician Level 3
Course Content:

The modules you will complete as part of this apprenticeship are:

  • Coding and Logic (Includes Exam)
  • Business Processes (Includes Exam)

Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA’s):

  • Networking Fundamentals (Includes Exam)
  • Mobility and Device Fundamentals (Includes Exam)
  • Cloud Fundamentals (Includes Exam)

Salary, Hours, Benefits

  • £10,400
  • Monday to Friday
  • 9am till 5pm
  • 25 day holiday plus bank holidays
  • Quarterly wage reviews

There are career progression opportunities available upon completion of the programme. You, along with your employer, may progress to a Level 4 programme, and take your training even further. There is potential for full time employment on completion of the apprenticeship

Location & Travel

SteamaCo are based in Manchester and is accessible via all major transport links – trams, trains and busses. For those that drive there is parking also available.
