About the Employer
Britannia IT have been established since 2014. They are an IT firm based in the heart of Southport and have ever since been helping a range of SME’s within the Private, Public and Education sectors with IT problems. Offering a range of IT Support issues such as IT Networking, First Line Support and Cloud Service’s. Britannia IT are now looking for an enthusiastic individual to join their IT team!
Salary, Hours, Benefits
- £9980 per year
- Monday – Friday
- 9.00am – 5.00pm
- 37.5 hours per week
- Birthday day off (Extra day holiday if it lands on the weekend)
There are career progression opportunities available upon completion of the programme. You, along with your employer, may progress to a Level 4 programme, and take your training even further.
- Offering first line IT support via phone, email and face to face
- Use TeamViewer to access and support client computers
- Installing and updating PC systems
- Helping with PC hardware repairs
- Answering telephone calls
- Knowledge of PC components would be beneficial but not essential as full training is provided
- Confident on the phone
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Troubleshooting skills
- Willing to learn and can take a flexible approach to working

Location & Travel
Britannia IT are based within a row of local shops within the Southport area. There are a variety of bus routes around the area and is only a 10-minute walk to the closest train station, making the location easily accessible. There is also plenty of parking around the surrounding area for those who drive.
Due to funding requirements, there is specific candidate criteria that applies to this apprenticeship opportunity. In order for our employer to offer this vacancy they must be able to draw down full government funding for the position. As such, only candidates aged 16 – 18 will be eligible to apply for this vacancy.
