Apprenticeships are a great way to get the qualifications and experience needed to start your career. Combining training with actual work experience, becoming an apprentice is a first step on a recognised career path, and you’ll also get paid whilst you’re learning!

Why become an apprentice?

Regardless of the programme you choose to undertake, each one of our apprentices receives the same standard of top class training and support throughout the duration of their programme and beyond. With 95% of our apprentices being employed upon completion of their programme, and 49% of those receiving promotions within the first 12 months, it really does pay to train with Baltic Training.

The apprenticeship wage is currently £3.50 per hour but some employers offer their apprentices more. You will receive this alongside the same benefits and entitlements as other full time staff members in the business (holiday entitlements etc) in addition to specific apprentice rewards and perks provided by Baltic Training.

What apprenticeships can I do?

We have a number of different apprenticeship programmes available depending on your interests, passion, and experience.

Love solving IT problems, thinking logically and dream of building PCs from scratch? Our IT Professional programme could be the one for you!

Or if you are a social media wiz and want to develop your skills and put them to good use in helping businesses build their brands and online presence, our Social Media and Digital Marketing programme could be right up your street.

Alternatively, if you have an analytical mind, fantastic attention to detail and a passion for developing, our Software Development programme could be ideal for you.

Who can become an apprentice?

Due to recent changes in government funding, anyone of any age can now be enrolled onto an apprenticeship, as long as you don’t have conflicting qualifications.

However, the majority of our vacancies here at Baltic Training are targeted towards 16-18 year olds; this is due to additional funding employers receive to train young people straight from school or college.
