Unified Communications Technician

The primary role of a Unified Communications Technician is to establish and maintain communications systems under supervision. They use a range of remote and physical tools and equipment, they install basic communication hardware and software and they also deal with routine service requests from internal and external sources including fault rectification across a range of technologies.

Course Content:

The modules in this apprenticeship include:

  • Coding and Logic
  • Business Processes

Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA’s):

  • Networking Fundamentals (Includes Exam)
  • Mobility and Device Fundamentals
  • Cloud Fundamentals

Apprentices will also complete an End Point Assessment (EPA) which includes: External Assessment, Synoptic Project, and Interview.

The training is delivered using a variety of methods, including Online Live, workshops and self study. Apprentices will receive assessor contact every 6 weeks which will be a full progress review, we encourage all managers and mentors to participate in this progress review.

Towards the end of the apprenticeship the assessor will provide final contact sessions to prepare your apprentice for EPA. Courses will run typically every 5-8 weeks, and the order of the modules can be subject to change.

The exam associated with the apprenticeship will be delivered in the nearest test centre. Other MTA exam vouchers are available upon request.

Baltic Training do not deliver training in isolation. In addition to the experience gained through meaningful employment the apprentice will develop key business skills which will strengthen their employability within any chosen path.

Learners enrolled onto this programme are able to progress onto our higher apprenticeships, Unified Communications Troubleshooter.
